The river banks connected by the D. Luis Bridge present the most famous postcard image of Porto and are one of the best places to enjoy the views of the city. On Gaia side, you can visit the famous Port Wine cellars, where you will have the opportunity to taste Portugal's best known wine.
In recent years, Porto downtown has gained a lot of popularity and is the centre of nightlife, especially on weekends, where almost all bars and music clubs are full. Ribeira and Foz do Douro areas are also important places on Porto's nightlife map, where historic architecture blends with music and art.
