Meet the itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Porto!

Upon arrival at Porto Airport, you will have a private transfer to take you to your hotel in Porto.

And then the time is all yours! Take a stroll around the city center, where you will find super cool shops and wonderful restaurants.

Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Porto.

Day 2 - Explore the city of Porto and taste the best delicacies

In the morning, after breakfast, a transfer will pick you up from your hotel for a half-day tour of Porto with an official tour guide.

In the historic city centre, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will have time to explore Lello Bookshop, where the Harry Potter books and films were inspired, São Francisco Golden Church and Palácio da Bolsa, a palace with incredible granite works and magnificent neo-arabic influences (entrance not included).

You will continue the tour until you reach the river front, where you can admire the D. Luis bridge and all the Port wine cellars that brought fame and fortune to the city.

While strolling through the city, you will make a few stops at typical establishments to taste some of Porto's best delicacies!

You will finish this tour with a visit to the Port Wine Cellars, with wine tasting at the end.

Day 3 - Take a cruise in Douro Valley

After breakfast and check-out at the hotel in Porto, a transfer will take you to Pinhão through national road 222, which runs along the banks of the Douro River and is considered one of the most amazing drives in Portugal.

Our guide will show you Pinhão and the best views of the Douro Valley, followed by a traditional lunch (included) in one of the famous wineries of the Douro Valley.

After lunch, you will take a tour of the vineyards, which includes a wine tasting.

End the afternoon in beauty with a boat trip along the Douro River, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views.

Day 4 - Relax in Douro Valley's nature

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have free time to relax or to do personal activities.

At lunchtime, a transfer will pick you up from the hotel to take you to one of the best experiences in Douro: a picnic amidst the vineyards followed by a wine tasting in one of the amazing Douro wineries. If the weather conditions don't allow the picnic to take place, lunch will be at a typical local restaurant.

Day 5 - Discover Guimaraes, the birthplace of Portugal

After breakfast at the hotel, a transfer will take you to your hotel in Guimarães.

Check-in at the hotel can be done from 15 p.m. and breakfast is included on the days of your stay.

The historic centre of Guimarães has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001, in recognition of being "an exceptionally well-preserved and authentic example of the evolution from a medieval settlement to a modern city" in Europe. It was once the capital of Portugal.

At the end of the day, you will have a gourmet dinner in a traditional restaurant (included).

Day 6 - Fall in love with Minho and green wine

In the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to start the journey through Minho, where you will taste wonderful typical dishes of the region. You will pay a brief visit to one of the historic estates where green wine is produced - a delicious white wine unique in this area in Europe - and at the end you will to a wine tasting (included).

On the way back to Guimarães, you will stop at the top of the city, at Penha hill, for the best panoramic view of the city.

Lunch will be in one of the best gourmet restaurants in town.

After lunch, you will visit the Castle of Guimarães and Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, where you can learn more about the History of Guimarães.

The rest of the day will be on your own, so you can explore the city at your leisure.

Day 7 - End of the journey!

After breakfast free time for personal activities.
Check-out and transfer to Porto Airport or Porto according to your needs.

Deposits are non-refundable. Any changes made less than 31 days before the tour start time will not be accepted. The cut-off times are based on the local time of the tour. If an experience is cancelled due to weather conditions or any other reason, you will be given a different date/experience or a full refund.
