Itinerary

Day 1 - Porto

Arrival to Porto and private transfer to the charming and exclusive boat Spirit of Chartwell. Check-in at 17h00. This afternoon you will have a welcome cocktail on arrival. A welcome dinner will be served onboard, drinks included.

Overnight in Vila Nova de Gaia

Day 2 - Entre os Rios

The breakfast will be served on the boat. This morning, we will visit the city center of Porto, considered World Heritage by UNESCO, you will have more than enough time to explore all the more emblematic sites of the city. We will finish this tour right in front of the river where you can admire the D. Luis bridge and all of the Port Wine lodges that brought fame and fortune to the city. Visit and wine tasting to one of the best Port Wine cellars. Lunch and dinner will be served onboard. Today we will be departing from Porto to Entre-os-Rios. There will be a Vintage Port ceremony on our way to Entre-os-Rios.

Overnight at Entre-os-Rios

Day 3 - Peso da Regua and Lamego

The breakfast will be served on the boat. In the morning , we will start our way upriver until Peso da Regua. After an amazing lunch on the boat, overview Douro Valley, we will visit Lamego City and its Sanctuary. Tonight we will have dinner in one of traditional Quinta (Wine State) in Douro Valley. Accommodation at Spirit of Chartwell.

Day 4 - Barca de Alva, Castelo Rodrigo and Music Show

The breakfast will be served on the boat. In the morning , we will start our way upriver until Barca de Alva. After an amazing lunch on the boat, overviewing Douro Valley, we will visit the historical village of Castelo Rodrigo which is a genuine location of monuments and preserving important medieval references. The dinner will be served on the boat and tonight we will have a show of traditional Portuguese music. Accommodation at Spirit of Chartwell.

Day 5 - Barca de Alva, Salamanca and Flamenco show

The breakfast will be served on the boat. In the morning, we will depart for a full day visit of the Spanish City of Salamanca, where we will have lunch and assist to an incredible show of Flamenco. Tonight we will have Barbecue dinner on the sundeck overviewing Douro Valley. Accommodation at Spirit of Chartwell.

Day 6 - Barca de Alva, Regua and Mateus Winery

The breakfast will be served on the boat. In the morning , we will start our descend towards Regua and we will have a delightful lunch onboard. In the afternoon, after a panoramic drive along the Douro Valley we'll reach the majestic Mateus Manor House in the surroundings of Vila Real, that was immortalized on the label of the Mateus Rose Wine. Built in the 18th century by one of the wealthiest families in the north of Portugal this is also a masterpiece of the portuguese barroque of the architect Nasoni. Returning to the boat we will have a Presentation about: Portugal Today. Dinner and Accommodation at Spirit of Chartwell.

Day 7 - Entre-os-Rios and time for some Vino Verde at Quinta da Aveleda

The breakfast will be served on the boat. In the morning , we will start our descend towards Entre-os-Rios where we will visit Quinta da Aveleda known for the fruity and fresh Green Wines and where we will have lunch. We will continue our descend until Porto this afternoon, take sometime to enjoy the last views of the unforgettable Douro Valley. Farewell dinner and Accommodation at Spirit of Chartwell.

The breakfast will be served on the boat. Check out until 9.00am and transfer to the airport or hotel in case you want to spend more days in Portugal, if so, just contact us and we will be happy to provide all the informations that you may need.
