We will pick up our passengers in the center of Ponta Delgada. Our tour will start on the south coast of the island, passing through Vila Franca do Campo towards the Furnas volcano, one of the places where it is possible to observe volcanic phenomena and their manifestations such as the calderas and hot springs.
The route that starts in the parish of Faial da Terra, extends for
4.5km and lasts about 3h30. As we go along the path, we come across the most
varied species of plants, including Frangula azorica, Cryptomeria and some
others such as Conteira and Frankincense.
Arriving at Salto do Prego, one of the most beautiful places on the island of São Miguel, there will be time for a picnic lunch and also for a bath in the crystalline waters of the waterfall. Passing through the dense vegetation, we will make our way back towards Faial da Terra and we will also make a stop in the village of Povoação, the first area of the island to be populated and where we will be able to taste the local delicacies, more specifically the "fofas da Povoação". ". On the way back to Ponta Delgada, we will still be able to observe the tea plantations of the island, the mountains and the coastline of the north coast, passing by Ribeira Grande, the second largest city on the island.
