Why choose this experience

When starting the trip, still crossing the Alto Minho region, our guides will introduce you to the history of São Tiago and the famous city that bears its name.

Upon reaching the historic centre, you will have the opportunity to freely visit the imposing 11th century cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. It is here that you can attend the pilgrim's mass and on religious festive days the ritual “Bota Fumeiro”. This city is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will also have time for a pleasant walk through the medieval streets of the Old Town where you can buy souvenirs from local artisans. Then we will have lunch, a typical dish from the Galicia area, full of rich and unmistakable flavors.

Back in Portugal, we'll have time to visit one of the most charming border towns, surrounded by its medieval walls. We will stroll together through its historic center and explore some of the most important historical parts for both Portugal and Spain.

The day ends with a tasting of local delicacies and an accompanying drink before returning to the starting point.
